Organic Baby Clothes PADUCAH

Back before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I more often than not go out with 3 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Dragon House Chinese Restaurant (which is in PADUCAH, KY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can buy beautiful organic baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
