Organic Baby Clothes OVID

Before I had my children, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby clothes we have picked up.

I generally meet with 3 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at Giuseppes Ovid Pizzeria (which is in OVID, NY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening seeing we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic produce from day one but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can get beautiful organic baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic products means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
