Organic Baby Clothes NEW YORK

Before I had my children, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.

I more often than not go out with 3 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We often meet at Alias Restaurant (which is in NEW YORK, NY) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

You can buy organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic products means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find stores solely devoted to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
