Back before I had my baby, I never really thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.
I generally get together with 2 other mothers, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the beginning but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined the environment and especially water ways. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Buying organic produce means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or less use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Several producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find companies solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
