Back before I had my first child, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic products are grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic produce means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or less use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
