Organic Baby Clothes MOSCOW

Before I had my baby, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.

I usually go out with 4 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We often meet at Local Grinds (which is in MOSCOW, ID) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was really interesting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and especially water ways. Organic cotton is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic produce means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
