Back before I had my children, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. Buying organic produce means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, fewer health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to older children. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
