Organic Baby Clothes MONTROSE

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 21-08-2010

Long before I had my children, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other women about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby fashions we have picked up.

I generally get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We often meet at Irish Pub (which is in MONTROSE, SD) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really exciting seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined the environment and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can get organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothes means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find companies entirely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
