Organic Baby Clothes MILL VALLEY
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 03-09-2008
Long before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the latest baby clothes we have purchased.
I more often than not go out with 3 other mothers, once a week, to hear about the latest happenings. We usually meet at Woody's Yogurt Place (which is in MILL VALLEY, CA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening as we chatted about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and especially water supplies. Organic products are produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
You can get organic baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, reduced cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
