Organic Baby Clothes MIAMI
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 22-03-2010
Before I had my baby, I never believed I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the newest baby fashions we have purchased.
I generally get together with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Tokyo Bowl (which is in MIAMI, FL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was more interesting as we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from the start but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and especially water supplies. Organic products are produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can buy organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Buying organic produce means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find retailers entirely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
