Organic Baby Clothes MAPLE SHADE

Long before I had my first child, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the newest baby fashions we have bought.

I more often than not go out with 2 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We often meet at Golden Dawn Diner (which is in MAPLE SHADE, NJ) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly eye opening seeing we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic food from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can buy beautiful organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to adolescents. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
