Organic Baby Clothes MAITLAND

Long before I had my baby, I never really believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby fashions we have bought.

I usually go out with 3 other parents, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We often meet at China Jade Buffet Mongolian Barbecue (which is in MAITLAND, FL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was really interesting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic produce means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers entirely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to adolescents. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
