Organic Baby Clothes MADISON

Long before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually meet with 3 other mothers, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at Fuzzys Bar-B-Que (which is in MADISON, NC) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was really interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can purchase organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers solely committed to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
