Organic Baby Clothes LINCOLN CITY

Back before I had my baby, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mother, chatting to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby clothes we have bought.

I more often than not get together with 4 other parents, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Avanti Italian Cuisine (which is in LINCOLN CITY, OR) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic food from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed habitats and particularly water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic produce means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Many makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
