Before I had my first child, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
