Organic Baby Clothes LA GRANGE

Back before I had my children, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Sabans Place (which is in LA GRANGE, IL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was really exciting seeing we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water bodies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic products means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Many wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
