Organic Baby Clothes JERSEY CITY

Long before I had my baby, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to discuss the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I more often than not meet with 3 other mothers, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at El Tanty Restaurant (which is in JERSEY CITY, NJ) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really interesting because we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic products are grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are getting products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find stores completely devoted to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
