Organic Baby Clothes JERSEY CITY

Back before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to chat about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I more often than not meet with 4 other mothers, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We often meet at Everbest Liquor & Delicatessen Shop (which is in JERSEY CITY, NJ) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was more exciting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water bodies. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers entirely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
