Organic Baby Clothes JASPER

Back before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other mothers about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the newest baby fashions we have bought.

I generally meet with 2 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Brangus Feed Lot Steak House (which is in JASPER, AL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more interesting because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in America and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water bodies. Organic produce is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can get organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find companies completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
