Organic Baby Clothes JACKSON

Long before I had my children, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the latest baby fashions we have purchased.
I usually get together with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Mason Restaurant (which is in JACKSON, NC) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water supplies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
