Organic Baby Clothes HOOD RIVER

Long before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 2 other women, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We usually meet at El Rancho Grande (which is in HOOD RIVER, OR) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from day one but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic products are made without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
You can purchase organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find stores solely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
