Organic Baby Clothes HIGH POINT
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 31-07-2008
Back before I had my baby, I never really thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby clothes we have bought.
I generally get together with 4 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We generally meet at Dragon Wok Chinese Restaurant (which is in HIGH POINT, NC) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening because we talked about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
You can purchase organic baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic produce means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers solely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
