Organic Baby Clothes HARTFORD

Back before I had my baby, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the newest baby fashions we have bought.

I generally get together with 4 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We usually meet at Home Court (which is in HARTFORD, MI) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was more exciting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and in particular water ways. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic clothes means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find designers entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
