Organic Baby Clothes GROSSE TETE

Back before I had my baby, I never imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I usually meet with 4 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest happenings. We generally meet at Tiger Truck Stop Cafe (which is in GROSSE TETE, LA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic food from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
