Organic Baby Clothes FORT LAUDERDALE

Back before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to chat about the latest baby outfits we have bought.

I generally go out with 4 other women, once a month, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Roadhouse Grill (which is in FORT LAUDERDALE, FL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic food from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find designers entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
