Organic Baby Clothes FOLSOM

Before I had my first child, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to talk about the latest baby fashions we have purchased.
I more often than not go out with 4 other women, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest happenings. We usually meet at Yogurt Delite (which is in FOLSOM, CA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more exciting because we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby organic meals from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water ways. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
You can buy soft organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic produce means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
A number of retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find shops solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
