Organic Baby Clothes FLORA
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 09-08-2008
Long before I had my children, I never really imagined I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby clothes we have bought.
I generally go out with 2 other parents, once a week, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Grandma's Kitchen (which is in FLORA, IL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening seeing we chatted about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has destroyed habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
You can purchase beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Many wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies solely devoted to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
