Organic Baby Clothes EUGENE

Before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby fashions we have bought.

I usually go out with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest new. We generally meet at Burrito Boy (which is in EUGENE, OR) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was really eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic produce from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can buy organic baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothes means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find stores entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
