Long before I had my baby, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
