Organic Baby Clothes ELK RIVER

Long before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.
I usually go out with 3 other parents, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Tally Ho Family Restaurant (which is in ELK RIVER, MN) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was more exciting because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic food from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and especially water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Buying organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find stores entirely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
