Organic Baby Clothes ELGIN

Long before I had my first child, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to discuss the newest baby clothes we have picked up.

I more often than not get together with 2 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Italian Dreams (which is in ELGIN, IL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water ways. Organic produce is produced without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find retailers solely devoted to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
