Organic Baby Clothes EAST WENATCHEE

Back before I had my first child, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a new mother, chatting to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually meet with 3 other women, once a month, to hear about the latest happenings. We usually meet at Larry's Drive In (which is in EAST WENATCHEE, WA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic food from the start but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed habitats and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find shops entirely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
