Organic Baby Clothes DUBUQUE

Back before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.
I generally get together with 3 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at Fat Tuesdays (which is in DUBUQUE, IA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
