Organic Baby Clothes DECATUR

Before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to chat about the newest baby clothes we have picked up.

I generally meet with 2 other parents, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Waffle House Inc - Northeast (which is in DECATUR, GA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more exciting as we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic produce from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

You can buy organic baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic produce means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find shops solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
