Organic Baby Clothes DAYTON
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 27-07-2009
Long before I had my children, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, talking to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I more often than not meet with 2 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We often meet at Marion's Piazza - Centerville (which is in DAYTON, OH) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water ways. Organic produce is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
You can buy organic baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic products means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, reduced cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
