Organic Baby Clothes DAVENPORT

Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I more often than not get together with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Club Sports Bar (which is in DAVENPORT, IA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening as we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water supplies. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

You can get soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or less use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find shops completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
