Back before I had my children, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby outfits we have picked up.

I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest new. We generally meet at Bill & Ruths Sub Shops - Coweta (which is in COWETA, OK) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly exciting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic produce from the start but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find stores entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
