Organic Baby Clothes CINCINNATI

Long before I had my first child, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have bought.
I usually get together with 2 other women, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We generally meet at Morrows Meats Bakery & Deli (which is in CINCINNATI, OH) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby organic food from the beginning but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined habitats and especially water bodies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find companies entirely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to adolescents. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
