Organic Baby Clothes CHICAGO

Back before I had my baby, I had not imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a mother, chatting to other women about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby fashions we have picked up.
I generally go out with 3 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Mieenamba Taqueria (which is in CHICAGO, IL) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was particularly eye opening seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water bodies. Organic products are grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothes means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find stores entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
