Organic Baby Clothes CHICAGO

Long before I had my baby, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby outfits we have bought.
I usually go out with 3 other women, once a month, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Lacumbamba (which is in CHICAGO, IL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and especially water ways. Organic products are grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
