Organic Baby Clothes CENTEREACH

Before I had my first child, I never really thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually go out with 4 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We often meet at John Anthony's (which is in CENTEREACH, NY) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more eye opening seeing we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic products are made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can purchase soft organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find stores completely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
