Organic Baby Clothes CATAWISSA

Long before I had my children, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby outfits we have picked up.

I more often than not meet with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest happenings. We usually meet at Tom's Family Restaurant (which is in CATAWISSA, PA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was particularly exciting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic food from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic products are made without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can buy beautiful organic baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic products means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find designers entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
