Organic Baby Clothes CANONSBURG

Before I had my baby, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby fashions we have picked up.

I more often than not go out with 2 other parents, once a month, to catch up on the latest gossip. We generally meet at Gabby's Pizza & Beer Warehouse (which is in CANONSBURG, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic food from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and in particular water ways. Organic products are produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic products means you are buying products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
