Organic Baby Clothes CANONSBURG

Before I had my first child, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have bought.

I more often than not get together with 3 other parents, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Bean Curd Chinese Restaurant (which is in CANONSBURG, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was really eye opening because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic food from day one but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can purchase organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothing means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers completely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
