Before I had my first child, I had not believed I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
