Organic Baby Clothes CAMP HILL
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 13-05-2010
Back before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby clothes we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery (which is in CAMP HILL, PA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening seeing we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic produce from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and especially water ways. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
You can purchase organic baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
Many wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find shops completely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
