Organic Baby Clothes BROOKLYN
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 30-08-2010
Long before I had my baby, I never really thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, chatting to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.
I usually meet with 4 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We usually meet at V & R Pizzeria & Restaurant (which is in BROOKLYN, NY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby organic meals from day one but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and especially water supplies. Organic produce is made without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
You can get organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Getting organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, reduced cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
Many retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find designers completely devoted to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
