Back before I had my first child, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have picked up.

The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
