Organic Baby Clothes BOSTON

Before I had my first child, I had not imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have purchased.

I more often than not go out with 4 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We often meet at Rabia's Restaurant (which is in BOSTON, MA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

You can purchase organic baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothing means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find shops solely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
