Organic Baby Clothes BELTON

Back before I had my children, I had not imagined I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.
I more often than not meet with 2 other women, once a month, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Chatter Box Cafe (which is in BELTON, TX) as that is quite central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic food from day one but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water bodies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers entirely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
