Organic Baby Clothes BELLINGHAM

Back before I had my first child, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the most recent baby fashions we have bought.

I usually meet with 3 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We usually meet at Bistecca Italian Steak House (which is in BELLINGHAM, WA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really interesting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and especially water supplies. Organic produce is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can purchase organic baby apparel online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find shops completely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
